As SPi continues its journey towards digital
transformation, SVP for Solutions Architecture
John Prahbu shared the invaluable role that
committing to technology and quality plays in
maintaining one’s position as a market leader in
the content industry.
The featured VIA Talk speaker during the rst
ever ASPiRE Alumni Day held on December 4
at the Parañaque site, John stated that a fully
automated process in content solutions ensures a more seamless user experience and repeat business.
At present, SPi processes around 5 million pages per year. This gure is expected to grow as SPi steps
into total digital transformation.
“We can’t take one or two days to make a decision.
Customers want it in a click of a button. Customers
want quality. If clients realize that a particular
le doesn’t have the intelligence, they will not
buy the content. If they don’t buy, our clients will
lose everything, and we will lose our business. It’s
always both. Always keep in mind: Are we making
meaningful content? Are we adding intelligence?”
The key to meaningful content, John adds, is not
only integrating arti cial intelligence to automate
the content process but also employee initiative in
sharing “the idea and the pain”. According to him,
only when content quality meets or exceeds
expectations does SPi cease to be a vendor and
becomes a strategic partner. “If the process is
giving you pain, then you have to provide feedback,
because that pain goes back to the customer.”
Current challenges in data processing present
employees with the opportunity to improve,
innovate, and lead, and John urges the employees
to always enter projects with the mindset of a leader.
“SPI is the industry leader, that’s why you are all
leaders. Be better. Be exible. Inspire others, and
that inspiration goes back to the customer.”
