Recognizes Tech Visionaries

at Asia CEO Awards 2018

The Philippines’ biggest business awards returned for the ninth year,
granting recognition to extraordinary individuals, leadership groups,
and private organizations that made signi cant contributions to their
respective industries and the society at large.

More than a dozen awards were distributed during the Asia CEO Awards
2018 that took place in Marriott Hotel in Pasay City on October 16.
Comprising the Board of Judges were the most accomplished luminaries
in the Philippine business industry today.

SPi Global joins this year’s roster of illustrious sponsors. As an innovation
driven group, SPi Global sponsored the award for the Technology
Company of the Year, a recognition given to outstanding corporate,
academic, or startup organizations in the elds of Information and
Communications Technology, Bio Technology and Material Science,
Sciences, and Math and Engineering.

Prior to the awarding ceremony, SPi Global Chief Operating O cer
Prabhakar Bisen – also the presenter for the Grand Winner of Technology
Company of the Year - explained the role of trailblazing innovations in
handpicking awardees. “All the nalists have done a wonderful job, but
we need to make sure that if we go back to our companies, we are
driving technology at the forefront of our business.”

Toshiba Information Equipment emerged as the Grand Winner for its
manufacturing breakthroughs. The company is known for producing the
world’s rst 14-terabyte hard disk drive.

Along with CPO Marie Ampeloquio, Bisen also presented and bestowed
plaques to nalists, or Circle of Excellence awardees, for the said
