5. Sustainable Development Policy of THP
Review/ Amendment
6. Ethical Guide for THP Board
Revise the Sustainable Development Policy in the following areas :
• Environment : Incorporate business development towards a low-carbon society and environmentally friendly procurement to mitigate and adapt to climate change. Strive for carbon neutrality by 2030 and
achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
• Social : Enhance workplace safety and create a positive working environment, integrating human rights considerations throughout the value chain. Create value and improve the quality of life for communities and society to reduce work-related accidents. Support human rights collaboration based on the three pillars of the UNGP : Protect, Respect,
and Remedy.
• Governance : Strengthen ethics, transparency, compliance with laws,
covenants and other relevant requirements, disclosure of data and performance, risk management, cybersecurity, and enhancement of value chain management to manage risks from changing business environments and laws. Promote collaboration with stakeholders to drive the organization's sustainable development.
• Economy : Improve business competitiveness and adaptability to change while focusing on ESG-driven returns to enhance economic outcomes.
• Add a “General Information” section, including the vision, mission, and new organizational culture (“Sustainable POST”) of THP.
• Add a “Significance of Ethics” section to raise awareness and emphasize the importance of ethical conduct.
• Add an “Annex” section to reference the sources of policies and guidelines used in the preparation of the Ethics Handbook for THP Board.
