P. 3

Imagine for a moment that you get to take part in
something big. Working on a project from the ground
level, building something that will help others and last
            for generations.

“Come to him, to that living stone, rejected by men but
in God’s sight chosen and precious; and like living stones
be yourselves built into a spiritual house, to be a holy
priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God
through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:4-5).

Jesus is the cornerstone, the first stone set in a
foundation. Once the cornerstone is set, all the other
measurements build off it. Made in Christ’s image, we
are “living stones”. Each one has unique gifts and
talents. When placed on a strong keystone, we are
            solid.

We are the stones of St. Stephen’s. Help us build a
strong spiritual house: by sharing our faith, loving our
            neighbor, and building our community.
