Message:

On behalf of The Japan Karate Association – Philippine

Chapter, I warmly welcome all Officers, participants and
guest to the 1st JKA Philippines International Gasshuku
and Karate Championship.

This event marks the 1st year of existence of the JKA –
Philippines amid noise and haste. Staging these events

fulfills our Vision and Mission in promoting Shotokan
Karate, as it should be while keeping the traditional way
of competition.

Under the able leadership of our JKA Chairman and energetic Officers of
JKA – Philippines with the support of our JKA Chapters, this event will surely
gain success and recognition in propagation of Karate-do.

And to all participants: it is the time to showcase your hard-earned Karate

Waza acquired during rigorous training in your respective Dojo. Certainly,
each of you will pit your skills and talents against each other’s from other
teams, and for that, I encourage you all to make the most of this wonderful
opportunity to showcase your best athletic talent and spirit of comradeship.

Do your best and compete in the way of sportsmanship and fair play. I wish
you all good luck.
