CORSON’S INLET STATE PARK This 341-acre undeveloped tract of land at the south end of Ocean City is home to a natural habitat rich in diverse wildlife. The park offers outstanding scenic beauty and is a great place for hiking, fishing, crabbing, boating and sunbathing. Facilities and activities include a boat ramp, hiking trails, saltwater fishing and crabbing.
BELLEPLAIN STATE FOREST Located in Woodbine at the Northwest corner of the Jersey Cape, the forest offers over forty miles of trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Other activities include hunting, fishing, swimming at Lake Nummy and a variety of camping options. Belleplain is a well- known birding spot, especially during the spring migration.
CAPE MAY POINT STATE PARK With 244 acres of freshwater meadows, forests, dunes and beach, it’s one of the best sites for bird watching in North America and a natural route for migratory birds. Known for the Cape May Lighthouse, a World War II gun battery and fire control tower, the park offers beach walking, hiking, fishing and picnicking.
HEREFORD LIGHTHOUSE Built in 1874 in North Wildwood, this historic structure is open to the public and still functions as an active navigational aid. Visitors to the Lighthouse learn about its rich history and the Lighthouse grounds are a great place for a relaxing stroll in the gardens and a place to enjoy the beauty of the seashore.
