   DISRUPTION OF HEALTHCARE OJACNTUOABREYR 2018
Digital tattoos: Digital tattoos are flexible and thin diagnostic devices that measure many vital signs. They function like electronic skin due to their flexible material and offer accurate medical measurements.
Nutrigenomics: After having your DNA sequenced, a smart nutrigenomics analysis lets you know what food you should eat and what you should avoid. As we’re all genetically different, our diet should be personalized too.
Chatbots: Chatbots will become the first line of primary care. Patients could refer to chatbots, supported by Artificial Intelligence, with simple health questions or issues of healthcare management. They could get their prescriptions done or manage their appointments with these little helpers. (The Medical Futurist, 04/29/18; TechRepublic, Olivia Krauth, 12/08/17)
In addition, CBInsights adds two technological breakthroughs to Dr. Meskó’s list, poised to revolutionize heathcare by 2025:
Genomic information: With the cost to genome sequence dropping and more genomic information becoming available, genomic information will enter the clinical setting for the development of new drug treatments. Ultimately, genomic will be used to tailor drug regimes to the individual patient, maximizing the effectiveness of treatment and minimizing costs.
The cost to sequence is dropping, and more
genomic information is becoming available
THE FALLING COST OF GENOMIC INFORMATION WILL EXPAND HEALTHCARE’S
CAPABILITIES
