- Std VI, VII and VIII
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in Harmony” -
Mahatma Gandhiji.
The students of Std VI, VII and VIII had a discussion on the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi and World
Peace Day. The celebration began with the narration of an inspirational story of Gandhiji by
the Social Science teachers. They also discussed Gandhiji’s message of endurance, peace,
harmony and the most powerful tool of non-violence. It is also the birth anniversary of our
former Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastriji. This was followed by various presentations
of students comprising of Gandhiji’s quotes, poster designs, drawings and paintings.
A discussion about The World Peace day, with reference to Gandhiji’s principles of non-
violence and truthfulness, was conducted. At the same time, we remembered our Poojya
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankarji, who is a world spiritual guru, tirelessly working for establishing
peace around the world.
The students pledged to inculcate the principles of Gandhiji which is relevant today and to
establish peace in the world – the need of the hour.
