Risk
Identification
Risk identification refers to the
“process of finding, recognizing,
and describing risks” (ISO 31000).
Early detection of warning signs of
risks are pivotal to reduce the
likelihood and/or magnitude of a
potential threat.
There is no “right” way to identify
risks in an organization; however, a
few techniques include analyzing
historical data, conducting
interviews, flowcharts, and holding
table conversations/workshops
with key senior stakeholders.
