The completion of the Program Prioritization Initiative provides Southern University with a
collection of data that provides insight for programmatic and workforce alignment as we
work to move into the highest echelon of public U.S. colleges and universities. By
prioritizing our programs, we can reposition the University to boldly embark on new
challenges that will expand our global reach and distinguish us among our peers.
The utilization of the Program Alignment Taskforce ensured that a thoughtful, transparent,
and collective process was followed. Now that we have the data, we must focus on our next
step — implementation. I am counting on the entire university community to join us in this
process as we work to prepare our students for optimal success.
Over the coming weeks, we will discuss next steps and I know I can count on the entire
university community to collectively support the recommendations as we move forward
together, building an even brighter future for our beloved institution.
