 Requested by the Region IV Head Start Office to be part of a team providing week long intensive
technical assistance in Program Design and Management to an at risk grantee in Florida
 Led the first team in the region in developing and implementing the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) for
an at risk grantee
o This led to the program being removed from deficient status by the Office of Head Start
 Received 2003 Employee of the Year Award from Chapel Hill Training Outreach Inc. for outstanding
services to children and families at the Fuquay-Varina Early Learning Center
 Secured in kind contributions in excess of $7000 from community and private donors to offset program
health care services to children without health and dental insurance
 Accepted into the Leadership Alexander Class of 2000 for demonstrating dedication and leadership
ability in Alexander County
