a. Working in pairs. Ask your friend take turn to ask your ability/future happening/past
ability/polite question for you and answer it slowly, then faster, and then rapidly.
b. Individually, write one to two paragraphs about ability, and then read it with good
expression.
2. Language Features
a. An auxiliary is a helping verb. It comes in front of the simple form of a main verb. The
following helping verbs are called “modal auxiliaries’: can, could, may, might, must,
should, will, would.
b. In interrogatives modal comes in front of subject, and negatives it comes after subject.
