WELCOME MESSAGE - DG ANTHONY B. COCHRAN

February 19, 2022

My Fellow Lions & Leos of District 20-K1,

We are extending a warm and hearty welcome to our
International President Douglas X. Alexander, our
special guests International Director Ernesto Tijerina
and his Partner in Service Lion Juanita, all Lions,
Leos, and friends joining our District 20-K1
Convention. This event offers an opportunity to
connect with old and new friends while joining in
fellowship and friendship. We are bound in our spirit
of Lionism, serving from the heart, and our hope that
our common goals in support of our communities will
be attained.

I am pleased to say that we have grown in
membership and are persisting in service despite the
local restrictions brought about by Covid-19. We have accomplished much but
acknowledge that much more remains to be done.

As we go forward, we will not rest on our laurels during this convention but we will provide
multiple learning opportunities for new and senior Lions via various interesting workshops
and seminars. We will hear from a number of distinguished leaders from the International,
State, and District levels.

It is a privilege accorded to me to serve as District Governor while presenting this Mid-
Winter Convention.

Extending this welcome invitation has been one of the most pleasant tasks I will perform
this lionistic year. May your participation in this convention be successful and enjoyable!
