Sending Love, Care and Concern
▪ PDG D. George Allen (Crown Heights) is recuperating at home. We pray for his speedy recovery and return to
optimum health.
▪ Lion Allen Abelson (Starrett City/Spring Creek) faced an invasive surgical procedure and requests our
prayers for a successful outcome and speedy recovery
▪ Lion Jackie Bowen (Laurelton) is recovering at home, following a vehicular “hit and run” accident near her
home in Queens. Thankfully, her injuries are not life-threatening. We pray for her speedy return to good
health.
▪ Lion Cheryl Caesar (Secretary, Laurelton) is recuperating at home from a broken leg caused by an accidental
fall. We wish her a speedy recovery
▪ Lion Pauline Grant (Brooklyn Prospect Heights) remains hospitalized. We pray that her rehabilitation process
prepares her to return to normal health.
We Offer Our Deepest Condolences To These Bereaved Families
1. DG Narcissus Frett - Moses ( Charter President, Brooklyn Mid-Bedford Heights) has crossed from this world and entered
the glory of His eternal Paradise. We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family. Her dedication to the
ethics of Lionism and her passion for mentorship will always be etched in the history of District 20-K1. “The world and its
desires pass away. But whoever does the will of God, lives forever”
2. PDG Charles “Charlie” McBride ( Little Neck / Douglaston) answered the call from His Creator and slipped away from his
earthly body into eternal life. “Well done, good and faithful servant. You fought the good fight, kept the faith and finished
the race.” May he rest in peace. Earth has no pain that heaven cannot heal.
3. Lion Ina James (one of the oldest and longstanding members of Winthrop Lions Club) has transitioned from this natural
world to eternal glory with The Creator. “Well done, my good and faithful servant. Now, Rest in peace”
4. Lion Gilberto Matos (Brooklyn East New York) has departed this life of labor and service to humanity. He has been
blessed with his heavenly reward as we pray for peace and comfort for his grieving family and friends.
5. Lion Beverly Joseph (Brooklyn Leaders) has lost her battle with cancer and now sleeps in peace with her loving and
compassionate Savior. “Gone from our sight and touch but never from our hearts. It is well with my soul!”
6. Lion Shirley Beaton (Brooklyn New Horizon) has ended her season in this earthly body and her spirit has transitioned
into eternity.. We will remember her with great affection, although she is gone from our sight “Let not your heart be
troubled”
7. Lion Lavern Harrison (Central Brooklyn) mourns the passing but celebrates the life and legacy of her dearly beloved
sister, Ms. Annie Mae Floyd, in Summerville, South Carolina. “May the arms and heart of God enfold and comfort the
family. Your loved one rests in the glory of His Paradise”.
8. Lion Saundra Elizabeth Layne (Brooklyn Prospect Heights) shares the news that her beloved father from Barbados, Mr.
Cephas Marshall , has transitioned from his earthly body into eternal life. The family mourns his passing but celebrates
his legacy. “Absent from the body but always present in your hearts”
9. Lion Arlington Gooding (Brooklyn Transition) sadly announces the passing of his esteemed brother, in Barbados. He has
completed his earthly assignments and now rests in heavenly peace. “Let not your heart be troubled”
10. Lion Alban Quow (Brooklyn Bedford Stuyvesant) has completed his life’s journey and passed away into eternal rest His
presence will be missed but the cherished memories will last forever. “I will always be present in spirit”
