LEO DYLAN CHAN
LEO DISTRICT PRESIDENT – (2023-2024)
This leadership opportunity is an option that gives me great pride and honor. I plan to accept
this privilege very seriously and work hard with the Leo advisors and liaisons to make this a
better Leo District.
I am a senior attending Roslyn High School, and it has been my joy to help others for as long as I
can remember. As an academic tutor, I have always volunteered to help younger students with
homework When I assist people in my community who demonstrate some need, that service
provides me with a sense of fulfillment.
Since I joined the Flushing Central Leos Club, I was fortunate to continue serving my community
at several different events. Throughout my years as a Leo member and leader, I am always
delighted and excited to serve with my club members and other Leos throughout District 20-K1.
I spent many service hours donating and assisting with the distribution of food to shelters,
cleaning parks and beaches, and raising money for families less fortunate than I am. Participating
in these events motivated me to do more for my community and improve the life situation of
people who are desperate for a smoother life with less challenges.
Last year when I served as District Leo Vice-President, I was fortunate to benefit from several
leadership training experiences that prepared me for this new office. It is my humble privilege to
serve with you as your Leo District President during this year.
My main goal is to seek out more opportunities for our clubs to serve the needy in our
communities. Our International President Patti Hill encourages Lions to increase membership
through Mission 1.5. I plan to increase membership for Leos also because I see the importance
of more hands to accomplish more community service projects. I also plan for Leos to work more
closely with Lions and learn from their projects. I understand that even a small act of kindness
can go a long way to making a person feel better.
I look forward to a successful year of service and leadership with support from every Leo in
District 20-K1, because “We Serve Too”
