PUBLISH YOUR PROJECT @ LION MAGAZINE

The LION magazine is dedicated to promoting the “We Serve” philosophy that Lions around the world
demonstrate every day.
These guidelines will help you prepare materials for submission.
ANNOUNCEMENT
* Articles (WORD document) should be accompanied by JPEG photos that explain in detail the
successful completion of a service project or fundraising activity.

* The length of the story is not as important as long as the basic facts are covered:

a. WHAT the project was all about

b. WHO was involved

c. WHEN and WHERE it took place

d. HOW it happened

e. HOW much money was raised

The primary goal of the magazine is to stimulate other clubs to perform humanitarian service.

A story becomes much more interesting when it is accompanied by candid photos that are sharp and
clear ~ “Lions in action”

· Identify subject/s in photo

· Write the caption BELOW the photo

· Submit photos as attachments.

In the spirit of Lionism and courtesy to the publication team, Lions are urged to respect the
timelines when the deadlines are published.

NOTE: The LION magazine has a 3-month lead time. Because of the quantity of items
submitted from across the globe, it often takes several months for articles to be selected and
make it to print.
