A BLESSING TO THEIR Vanderveer Lions
COMMUNITY prepared food baskets

The devastating effect of food insecurity
in the community is so overwhelming that
the club was motivated to increase the
impact of their 20+ year old Signature
Project and respond to the need for basic
provisions of food.

With donations from each club member,
20 Thanksgiving Food Baskets were
filled with a turkey, ham, stuffing,
canned goods, rice, oil, cake mix, on-
ions, macaroni, cheese and other nutri-
tious fare for meal preparation. Staples
with long shelf life were also included.
Deliveries were made to pre-selected
low-income, unemployed and disabled
families.

We were delighted to serve the less for-
tunate in our community and they were
appreciative of our gifts. We look for-
ward to checking in throughout the year
to make sure that they stay healthy.
