Chamber of Commerce and Tourism of La
Vela de Coro’s Key Role in Expomar Falcon
IN a significant event for the maritime sector, the
Chamber of Commerce and Tourism of La Vela de Coro
played an active role in the 3rd Expomar Falcon, which
unfolded on September 29th and 30th. Held at the
premises of the Brisas de Paraguana Hotel in Pto Fijo,
this event, organized by the Atlantico agency, brought
together local, national, and international maritime
companies. It served as a platform for sharing vital
information and engaging in discussions on contem-
porary issues within the sector.
During the event, Yoselis Lopez and Juan Gotopo,
the President and Vice President of the Chamber
of Commerce of La Vela de Coro, took the stage to
emphasize the pivotal role of Chambers of Commerce
in shaping public policies. Their insightful presentation
also included a retrospective analysis of trade rela-
tions between Venezuela and the ABC islands (Aruba,
Bonaire, and Curacao).
However, the highlight of their presentation was a
proposal aimed at catalyzing trade growth – the estab-
lishment of the Holland House Venezuela. This initia-
tive aims to bolster commerce between Venezuela
and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, with a particular
focus on expanding trade with the ABC islands. The
ultimate objective is to facilitate the export of compet-
itive, high-quality Venezuelan products at attractive
prices to the Dutch Caribbean market.
The proposal garnered significant attention and
interest, showcasing the Chamber’s commitment to
exploring innovative avenues for trade expansion.
The creation of the Holland House Venezuela repre-
sents a potentially transformative step forward in
strengthening economic ties between Venezuela and
the Netherlands while simultaneously unlocking new
opportunities for Venezuelan exports in the Caribbean.
In conclusion, the participation of the Chamber of
Commerce and Tourism of La Vela de Coro in the
3rd Expomar Falcon underscores its dedication to
advancing the interests of the local business commu-
nity and promoting international trade partnerships.
The proposal for the Holland House Venezuela serves
as a testament to their forward-thinking approach,
potentially heralding a new era of economic coopera-
tion and growth.
