During its 50 year existence, A.H.A.T.A. has come to
be recognized both in Aruba and overseas as the pri-
mary private sector representative of Aruba’s tourism
industry. Hotels and resorts, destination management
companies, the airport, banks, restaurants and small
service providers now form part of one of the most well
respected tourism associations in the entire Caribbean.
A.H.A.T.A’s mission is to support the building of the
brand of Aruba and to ensure a satisfied Aruba visitor
through first, its membership on the board of directors
of Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.), and secondly by
advocating labor, fiscal, environmental and cost of do-
ing business issues, as well as offering opportunities in
networking, education and a greater degree of visibility
and industry participation.
A.H.A.T.A boasts a small professional staff, led by
the President and C.E.O,
Mr. Jim Hepple. With
the support of a diverse
member base, the Asso-
ciation maintains a close
working partnership with
the Aruba Tourism Au-
thority, (A.T.A.), and
collaborates with other
non-governmental orga-
nizations including the
Chamber of Commerce,
the Aruba Trade Industry
Association, the Aruba
Timeshare Association,
the Main Street Merchants
Association and the San
Nicolas Business Associa-
tion.
A.H.A.T.A will celebrate
this remarkable 50 year
milestone on Friday, 13th
November, 2015, in the
Marriott Grand Ballroom
where its staff and mem-
bers will have the oppor-
tunity to combine busi-
ness and networking with
pleasure.
