In August, there was a 107% growth compared to 2019
MINISTER of Tourism and Public Health, Mr. Dangui
Oduber, informs the community about the tourism results
for August 2023. Once again, the figures for August 2023
have surpassed those of the same month in 2019.
In August, Aruba received 106,185 tourists through our
airport, representing a 10.5% growth compared to August
2019. This marks a remarkable recovery of 107% compared
to August 2019 when Aruba welcomed 96,100 visitors.
The report also highlights the recovery of our most impor-
tant market, the United States, which saw a 13.4% growth
compared to August 2019. Tourism continues to grow and
consistently surpasses the levels of 2019, which is truly
exceptional.
This recovery is also reflected in hotel occupancy rates, as
evidenced by Average Daily Rate and RevPAR figures. The
