Aruba Limpi Campaign Promotes a
Cleaner and More Sustainable Island
THE Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) has launched the
“Aruba Limpi” campaign, reinforcing their commitment to
a cleaner and more sustainable island. Under the motto “A
sweet Aruba to live in is a sweet Aruba to visit,” A.T.A. hopes
to raise awareness and encourage the community to take
action together for a cleaner Aruba.
The Aruba Limpi campaign is an extension of the “Limpi
Limpi” initiative introduced by the Ministry of Nature in the
last July. Its main goal is to create awareness about the
cleanliness of our island, addressing a crucial issue for both
our residents and visitors. By educating the local commu-
nity about our responsibility and behavior towards the envi-
ronment, the aim is to create a lasting impact that benefits
everyone and future generations.
The campaign will last for three months and will promote
responsible behavior through various initiatives, including
the opportunity to win a year’s worth of residential waste
collection at the end of the campaign. Additionally, the
campaign will collaborate with various non-governmental
organizations, including Scubble Bubbles, to organize
cleanup activities on our beaches and in other locations/
districts across the island. Together with “Ban Serio,” special
initiatives will be developed to raise awareness among our
children and youth. In November, schools can participate in
the Aruba Limpi campaign by recording a message and have
a chance to win a year of cleanliness for their school.
The campaign’s motto is an expansion of the vision of the
former A.T.A. director, Mrs. Myrna Jansen. “A sweet Aruba to
live in is a sweet Aruba to visit” is a sincere sentiment of our
people that reflects gratitude for the tourism industry. At
the same time, the motto reminds us that the quality of life
for residents goes hand in hand with the quality of the expe-
rience for our visitors.
“We believe that a clean Aruba is not only a duty but also a
reflection of our love and commitment to our beloved island.
By uniting in this campaign, we can make a significant impact
and create a more sustainable future for Aruba,” were the
words of Ronella Croes.
Regarding “Ban Serio,” it is an initiative that focuses on the
four main pillars of tourism: Environment, Hospitality, Culture,
and Safety. By including “Ban Serio” in this campaign, A.T.A. For more information about the campaign, you can visit
