‘Tempo pa Click:’ Images from the Neighborhood
ORANJESTAD - The photo and art exposition ‘Tempo
pa Click’ gives a wonderful impression of the island
seen through the eyes of locals from different neigh-
borhoods. In the months of January and February the
exposition opens her doors to the public, so this is your
chance to see some local art/photography expression.
The goal of the initiative ‘Tempo pa Click’ is to offer
participants the opportunity to get to know their ‘hood’
and value the cultural heritage as well as the history it
carries. Naturally it is also a way for participants to ex-
press themselves through art, not only by photography
but also via music and poetry. ‘Tempo pa Click’ cel-
ebrated its 3rd anniversary December 20th and a total
of 44 participants contributed to the creative concept.
Adults and children, coming from different ‘barrios’,
were proud to present their art.
The foundation behind this initiative is Foundation Ran-
cho, named after the oldest neighborhood of Oranjes-
tad where the foundation is located. The start of the
project was with the locals of Rancho, but also other
parts of Aruba took part into the project. A collection
of more than 88 photos was the result. Each year the
initiative goes with a certain theme. The vision for this
year is to get more neighborhoods participating and
to find international cooperation’s.
For more information about the exposition, you can
