            De Palm Tours Focus on the Future with Aruba Certification Program

                                                                                                                                recently organized a work-
                                                                                                                                shop  for  two  employee
                                                                                                                                groups  of  De  Palm  Tours
                                                                                                                                NV.

                                                                                                                                Several days full of interac-
                                                                                                                                tion  and  inspiration  were
                                                                                                                                experienced by the teams
                                                                                                                                of employees: tour guides,
                                                                                                                                bus  drivers  and  manage-
                                                                                                                                ment of De Palm Tours NV.
                                                                                                                                The goal was to enrich their
                                                                                                                                knowledge  with  essential
                                                                                                                                information on the island’s
                                                                                                                                history,  culture  and  envi-
                                                                                                                                ronment.  In  this  way  the
                                                                                                                                employees  can  connect
                                                                                                                                this  knowledge  to  their
                                                                                                                                daily  work  and  upgrade
                                                                                                                                their  service  level  which  is
                                                                                                                                important in the tourism in-
                                                                                                                                dustry.
                                                                                                                                Questions that were asked
                                                                                                                                were  for  example:  what
                                                                                                                                is  Aruba’s  DNA?  What  is
                                                                                                                                unique  about  our  island?
                                                                                                                                What  is  needed  to  keep
                                                                                                                                Aruba  authentic?  The  ser-
                                                                                                                                vice  level,  environment,
                                                                                                                                sustainability  and  other
                                                                                                                                topics  were  discussed.  It
                                                                                                                                was  a  truly  nice  ‘ride’  for
                                                                                                                                both guides and drivers as
                                                                                                                                well as management.q
