Loyal Guests Honored at the Costa Linda Beach Resort

EAGLE BEACH - Recently the Aruba Tourism Authority
had the great pleasure of honoring two very nice
couples who are loyal and friendly visitors of
Aruba at the Costa Linda Beach Resort as Goodwill
              Ambassadors.

The symbolic honorary title is presented in the name
of the Minister of Tourism as a token of appreciation to
guests who visit Aruba for 20-to-34 consecutive years.
The honorees were Mr. Charles and Mrs. Elizabeth
Simon from Massachusetts and Mr. Howard and Mrs.
Marilyn Littman from New York, all celebrating more
than 20 consecutive annual visits to Aruba!
These special visitors are regular guests at the Costa
Linda Beach Resort and they love Aruba very much
because of the safety, the beautiful sunsets, friendly
locals, variety of food and the feeling of home-away-
from-home. The certificate was presented by Ms.
Marouska Heyliger representing the Aruba Tourism
Authority together with associates from the Costa
              Linda Beach Resort.
These special guests have a lot of special memories
they wish to share, including the following:
“We look forward to coming back every year! It is the
highlight of our year. We have traveled to other islands
but Aruba is our favorite, the only island we want to
come “home” to. We love the people, beaches, food
and families that we have met!”

“We love the friendliness and generosity of the Arubian people and here are two
experiences over the years. First, our first year in Aruba we did not rent a car. We
were downtown shopping and, when we were ready to leave, we did not have
any more cash between the four of us (my husband and I, Robin and Joel Bassuk)
to take a cab back. It was after 5pm. We decided to thumb a ride back to Costa
Linda. A young Arubian stopped. We filed into his small car. He then asked us if we
would mind if he stopped at the McDonalds window to pick up some dinner. As he
was driving us to Costa Linda, we asked if he lives in this direction and he told us he
lives in town. We could not believe how nice this young man was to go out of his
way. Second, after coming out of the supermarket, we went to our rented car and
we had a flat tire. An Arubian asked if he could help. We had a lot of groceries so
he offered us a ride. He had an open pick-up truck. The cab could only hold the
two girls and the two men sat in the back with the groceries and on the way to
Costa Linda, the skies opened up. We laughed when we got to the hotel because
the two men looked like wet rats. After 22 years we have so many more stories and
wonderful memories and we hope for 22 more good years her in Aruba!”q
