Aruba Marriott Contributes To The ‘Stimami Sterilisami’ Program
With a special dog walk event
PALM BEACH – Aruba Mar-
riott recently organized a
dog walk for its associates
and their families, in an ef-
fort to promote associate
wellbeing, quality time with
their families and to raise
funds for the ‘Stimami Ster-
ilisami’ program.
A total of 110 people and
30 dogs of different breeds
gathered in the parking lot
of the Grand Ballroom to
enjoy a walk with their furry
companions to Malmok,
enjoying the island’s beau-
tiful scenery and sunset
along the way. Addition-
ally, the Aruba Marriott had
t-shirts printed for purchase
as well as dog bandanas
and dog treats, from which
all the funds generated,
were donated to ‘Stimami
Sterilisami’. At the end of
the walk, a number of priz-
es were raffled amongst
the dogs and participants
as well as healthy snacks
were provided.
The ‘Stimami Sterilisami’
movement aims to reduce
the amount of stray dogs
and cats on the island by
sponsoring the costs of
spaying and neutering and
by raising awareness with-
in the community on the
importance of providing
proper care for pets. Ad-
ditionally, dog owners can
register for a special price
for spaying and neutering
through this program.
Aruba Marriott organized
this dog walk event as part
of Marriott International’s
efforts to promote wellbe-
ing and happiness among
associates as well as giv-
ing back to the community
through the Marriott Take
Care Program, which is an
initiative that supports Mar-
riott International’s Putting
People First culture. This in-
cludes physical, emotional,
career and financial well-
being. Through the Take
Care Wellbeing Program,
Marriott helps their associ-
ates focus on their health
and the importance of tak-
ing care of themselves and
their community just as they
take care of their guests.q
