C Conclusion
In a speech text, conclusion will
have two objectives. The first objective of
a speech conclusion is to let the audience
know you are ending, which you can do
by your words or by your manner of
delivery. The second objective of a
conclusion is to reinforce your central
idea. It is done by:

1. accomplishing this by summarizing the speech (restating the thesis
statement)
2. emphasizing the main point
3. making a closing statement:
a. ending with a quotation
b. making a dramatic statement
c. suggesting result or consequences
4. writing a closing remark
Sometimes, we may want to combine two or more of these techniques. Be creative
in devising a vivid, forceful conclusion. Here are some signposts in conclusion that we
can use.

Let me reiterate, …
I’d like to bring this presentation to a close with...
To end, I’d like to highlight...
