Nominal sentences
We can write nominal sentences with the Simple Present Tense. Here is the pattern.

                                    Subject Be Adj/adv/noun
                                       I
                                      He
                                                       was
                                      She
                                       It happy.
                                      You
                                      We were
                                      They
               Examples:

                   • It was our first trip.

                Exercise
Change the be/verbs to create appropriate sentences in Simple Past.
