Self-Correction

                 Self-correction refers to the ability of a speaker to identify and correct their errors or mistakes

                 while speaking. Here are some expressions you can use:

                  1    Quick             ➔  "I will take the bus to the station, I mean, I will take the train."
                       corrections (for   ➔  "The game will be on Saturday, or rather, it's scheduled for
                       a single word or      Sunday."
                       detail)           ➔  "Tomorrow, we will be visiting Ananda. Sorry, I meant Maya."
                 2     Rephrasing or     ➔  "The project will have some small problems. To put it another
                       clarifying an         way, it will have a few minor technical issues."
                       idea              ➔  "I think the presentation will be okay. What I'm trying to say is
                                             that I believe it will go very well."
                                         ➔  "He will be at the meeting. I'm sorry, I was mistaken; he will be

                                             working from home."




                 Select and talk about it.
               Work in pair to practice the self-correction expressions. Select one of the pictures and talk about the plan
               and the prediction. Use the future tense to talk about the plan and the prediction and apply vocabulary to
               describe your agenda.
