Self-Correction
Self-correction refers to the ability of a speaker to identify and correct their errors or mistakes
while speaking. Here are some expressions you can use:
1 Quick ➔ "I will take the bus to the station, I mean, I will take the train."
corrections (for ➔ "The game will be on Saturday, or rather, it's scheduled for
a single word or Sunday."
detail) ➔ "Tomorrow, we will be visiting Ananda. Sorry, I meant Maya."
2 Rephrasing or ➔ "The project will have some small problems. To put it another
clarifying an way, it will have a few minor technical issues."
idea ➔ "I think the presentation will be okay. What I'm trying to say is
that I believe it will go very well."
➔ "He will be at the meeting. I'm sorry, I was mistaken; he will be
working from home."
