PREFACE
As its name suggests, Business English 3 is aimed for the 3rd grade/ intermediate
learners of Business English. It is the last Business English series which was prepared
for Semester 5 students at the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and
Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. This module’s topic coverage was
made in line with subject areas as the offered courses of the department, thus learners
are assumed to have been familiar with the contents. In this module, learners will
mostly be involved in reading and speaking activities, through which language
expressions and specific terms will be introduced and used. Given adequate words/
terms, phrases, and useful expressions which are closely related to human resource
management, finance, and entrepreneurship, it is expected that the learners will
eventually gain more confidence in performing the spoken tasks through semi-guided
and less guided activities.
Last but not least, the writers do hope that this module will greatly assist the teaching
learning process for both teachers and learners.
