                        LIFE COMPETENCIES


                        We all belong to communities - our family, our school, our town, our country -
                        and there is always something everybody thinks should be better for that
                        community. It’s easy to do nothing and wait for other people to help. Helping
                        our community isn’t always easy, but it feels good.


                                                               4   Work in pairs. Choose a community. Write all the
                                                                  difficulties you can think of for people in that
                                                                  community. Use the examples to help you.
                                                                  Your country -  homeless people ...
                                                                  The world -  places with no clean w ater...
                                                                  Your town/local area -  rubbish on the streets ...
                                                                  Your school -  books in your classroom need organising...
                                                                  Your family -  the car is dirty ...
