Round 1



                                                                                                                         • Students are group into three and given a set of jumbled syllables (from two


                                                                                                                               syllables words; noun, adjective, verb. Each with one rules’ exception word).

                                                                                                                         • Discussing in group to re-connect the jumbled syllables into the complete words.


                                                                                                                         • No competition here, all is given 5 minute to do so.


                                                                                                                         • Guessing, discussing, and practicing the stress of the syllables.





                                                                                                                         Round 2


                                                                                                                         • Each group is given a set of all jumbled syllables (from three syllables words; first,


                                                                                                                              middle, last syllables stress).


                                                                                                                         • Note: unlike round 1, this time all groups receive all jumbled syllables in all


                                                                                                                              categories.


                                                                                                                         • Discussing in group to re-connect the jumbled syllables into the complete words.


                                                                                                                         • The faster group to finish, may present the result to the class.


                                                                                                                         • Guessing, discussing, and practicing the stress of the syllables.





                                                                                                                        Round 3


                                                                                                                        • Each group is assigned to do research on word with affix -ion/ -ic, and -ly from


                                                                                                                              dictionary in 3 minutes.


                                                                                                                        • Each group is then given another 3 min to discuss where the stress should be


                                                                                                                              given for each type of words affixes.


                                                                                                                        • No competition here.


                                                                                                                        • Sharing and discussing the result for the class.
