PART B. Conditional Sentence 1 & 2
               Each is explained below.

               First conditional
We use the first conditional when we talk about future situations we believe are real or possible.
If it doesn't rain tomorrow, we'll go to the beach.
If I finish work, I'll call you.
I will call the doctor if you need certain medical prescription.

In first conditional sentences, the structure is usually: if + present simple , will + infinitive.

               Second conditional
The second conditional is used to imagine present or future situations that are impossible or
               unlikely in reality.
If we had a garden, we could have a cat.
If I won a lot of money, I'd buy a big house in the country.
               I wouldn't worry if I were you.
If I were you, I wouldn't mention it.
If she was prime minister, she would invest more money in schools.

The structure is usually: if + past simple >> + would + infinitive.

               PART C. Problem-Solution Essay

Problem-solution essay consider the problems of a particular situation, and give solutions to
               those problems. Below are the main features of this essay;

                   • Introduction (situation)
                   • Problem
                   • Solution (can be 1 or 2)
                   • Conclusion (optional)

Below is a problem-solution essay (with 2 solutions) on the topic of obesity and poor fitness.

Consumption of processed and convenience foods and our dependence on the car have
led to an increase in obesity and reduction in the fitness level of the adult population. In some
countries, especially industrialized ones, the number of obese people can amount to one third
of the population. This is significant as obesity and poor fitness lead to a decrease in life
expectancy, and it is therefore important for individuals and governments to work together to
tackle this issue and improve their citizens' diet and fitness.

Obesity and poor fitness decrease life expectancy. Overweight people are more likely to
have serious illnesses such as diabetes and heart disease, which can result in premature death.
It is well known that regular exercise can reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, which
