C. Before writing your travel progress, read the following text about one’s preparation in
arranging her trip to London.

Visiting London

I’m so excited because it’s my daddy’s 40th birthday next month. My dad has promised me
to take me and my family to London for a trip. I can’t stop thinking about amazing moments that I’ll
have with my family there. This city is a place that I have always wanted to visit since I was a kid.
Before the big day, my parents and I have prepared everything well. My parents have contacted the
travel agent, and have paid for the accommodation as well. Another thing that we have prepared is
the passport. Luckily, our passport is still valid. I have not packed for my trip, but my mom has told
me to prepare everything in advance before our departure. Although I have not packed yet, I already
made my packing list. I have listed what important things I should bring during my visit to London. In
addition, we have also decided the places to visit in London.
We’re flying over on the Thursday evening. As soon as we arrive, we’re going on a tour of the
city. They say London is really beautiful at night, and I’m really looking forward to seeing all those
famous places. On Friday, we are going to the Tate Modern (the art gallery near the river Thames).
Then we are visiting the Design Museum. It’s not far from our hotel, so we are planning to walk
there. In the afternoon, we are going to the London Eye. I’ll see the beauty of London from up there.
I also can’t wait to see the Houses of Parliament with its big bang- a very big clock. After that, my
family and I are going to Buckingham palace. It’s a place for the queen to live and work.
Saturday is for shopping. We are going to Portobello Road first. Then in the afternoon, we
are visiting Harrods. It’s the most famous shop in London. Dad is not very happy about it, but I’m sure
he’ll enjoy it when we’re there. In this shop, I’m going to buy souvenirs for my grandmother and
cousins because I have promised to meet them right away after my visit to London. On Sunday
morning, we are going to Hyde Park, and we are flying home in the afternoon. It has always been my
dream to visit London and it is happening.
