• Students are grouped into two; 3 students in the group will guest,

and 1 will mime the idiomatic expression.

• The student to mime the expression stands with his/ her back on the

screen.

• The other 3 students face the student miming the expression and the

screen.

• Teacher display sentences which include the literal meaning of the

idiomatic expression in bold for the three students to see (student

miming the expression should not be able to see it).

• The student miming the expression receives a card of idiomatic

expression to mime to allow the other 3 to guest.

• The 3 students guest the expression and read aloud the correct

expression to replace the literal definition (phrases in bold).

• Repeat the above activities for group 2.

• The fastest group to answer correctly, wins.
