Be going to is used to;
• make a prediction about future based on signs we can see now.
-The lab result has shown that you are having problem with too much sugar on your body. You’re going to
take pills before taking insulin injection.
-The scan is very clear. You’re going to have the result in the next outpatient appointment.

• to talk about next action.
-I’m going to undergo a cardiac MRI scan next week at Jogja International
Hospital.
-She is going to inject her insulin using a pen injection.

• to talk about something you have decided to do.
-I’m going to take this med regularly because I want to recover soon.
- I’m going to start living a healthy life.

Present Continuous is used to talk about things we have scheduled in the future.
I’m having my MRI scan next week.
She’s helping me with the medication I should take this evening.
The doctor is meeting her family tomorrow morning to explain the surgery procedure.
