Dementia | Alzheimer’s Disease

Alzheimer’s Disease is now the 6th leading cause of death in
the United States. 1 in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or anoth-
er form of dementia; it kills more than breast cancer and prostate
cancer combined. Between 2000 and 2017, deaths from Heart
Disease decreased by 9%, while deaths from Alzheimer’s Dis-
ease increased by 145%. There are many compelling, science
based research studies that conclude lifestyle, and more specifi-
cally, diet and exercise are the top contributing factors in wheth-
er or not a person will develop Alzheimer’s. Recent studies have
shown that up to 50% of AD cases may have been preventable.
