            Introduction — Questions for the Engagement

            Hello. My name is Wendy, and I am excited that you are ready to participate in our upcoming IT
            general controls review. I will be providing you with a list of questions that we will use during the
            engagement, and that you can use in future engagements. It will not be an exhaustive list, but will
            help you to develop more questions for other engagements as you move forward in your career.

            The first group of questions will help us to understand control design and effectiveness.

            Control Design and Effectiveness Questions

            Our goal is to ensure that the IT department is maintaining a suite of technical policies that reflect
            how they manage our technology and that the controls in place are complimentary to those policies.
            As you conduct your interviews, here are some suggestions that will help you to determine whether
            or not we should grant a positive rating.
