Business Interest Expense

Business interest expense (BIE) is:

• Any business interest paid or accrued that

is properly allocable to a non-excepted

trade or business; and

• Floor plan financing interest expense.

BIE does not include:

• Investment interest expense, or

• Interest expense that is allocable to an

excepted trade or business.
