Example: Introduction of Sulphur (smokeless and bituminous fuels)










                • Sulphur Oxides and Trioxides (SO2 & SO3) contained within the smoke.  Sulphur Trioxide is present within the flue gases


                   from the combustion of the Sulphur (S) compounds within the fuel which combines with the oxygen to form SO3 (Sulphur



                   Trioxide). The Sulphur Trioxides (SO3) further combines with the water vapour (H2O) to form gas phase Sulphuric Acid



                   (H2SO4).
