Drug and Alcohol Policy 60 minutes of training on controlled substances use. The training shall cover the physical, behavioral,
speech and performance indicators of alcohol misuse and use of controlled substances.
Foltz Trucking shall provide educational material that explains the requirements of 382.61, consequences of violating the regulations, and the employers' policies and procedures with respect to meeting these requirements. Foltz Trucking shall ensure each driver is required to sign a statement certifying that he or she has received a copy of these materials described in CFR 382.601.
The well-being, safety and efficiency of all employees, owner operators and his or her employees are of the highest concert to Foltz Trucking. It would not be consistent to promote a strong safety and efficient effort while not preventing the use of drugs and alcohol from undermining the companies aim to keep the employees, owner operators and his or her employees, customers and other persons doing business with the company in a safe and productive work environment. Foltz Trucking, therefore, requests that you review and consider this policy carefully. Foltz Trucking that you will understand the need for this program and that you will give it your complete support and cooperation.
Furthermore, this policy is not intended nor shall it be construed as a contract between Foltz Trucking and the employee and/or owner operator or his/her employees. This policy may be changed at any time at the sole discretion of Foltz Trucking If you have any questions with respect to its administration, please refer them to the companies DER (Designated Employer Representative).
