Program Y-Arts is one of the Y’s signature programs.
Founded in 1999 by Ginny Bishop, it is now directed by
her daughter Emily Mirabile. Y-Arts provides youth and
adults with arts opportunities and classes focusing on
visual arts, theatrical arts, and music and dance based
education. Even in the midst of the pandemic, Y-Arts
continued to meet online to connect, create art, and
find and celebrate a sense of normalcy.
Y-Arts competed and won the “Excellence in Ensemble” award at the Junior
Theatre Festival in Atlanta in January 2020. Y-Arts competed against over
100 groups from around the country and the world; under the direction of
Emily Mirabile Y-Arts has brought home an award every year since 2009.
