Towing hitch

Here’s a very modern application of that old

favourite, the bargeman’s hitch (aka the
lighterman’s hitch, the tugboat hitch, etc). The

beauty of this knot for towing is that, not only is it
very easy to tie and very strong, but it never gets

jammed.

1 Pass the rope around the tow hitch.
