       Honors Algebra II 304 9-10 2 1
This course is designed for those students with special skills and knowledge in mathematics. The course develops an understanding of the ideas of linear equations and inequalities, absolute value functions, quadratic equations, log and exponential equations, radical and rational equations, rational numbers, irrational numbers, imaginary numbers, functions, and operations with real exponents, but the material is developed in greater depth. Students will use graphing calculators to enhance the understanding of algebraic concepts.
PREREQUISITE: Student must have the following:
● A final grade of B or better in Advanced Geometry.
● Composite Score of Proficient or Advanced on the Algebra I Keystone
● Students are highly encouraged to purchase a TI-Graphing calculator for this course and subsequent
classes. .
       Summer Algebra I Prep 306 10-11 1 0.25
This summer session is recommended for all sophomores and juniors who did not attain the level of “proficient” or “advanced” on the Keystone Algebra I Exam in 9th grade grade. This course is designed to enhance algebraic skills. Topics covered include operations with real numbers, linear equations, linear inequalities, functions, coordinate geometry, and data analysis. At the conclusion of the session, students will have the opportunity to take the Summer Keystone Algebra I Exam as developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
This course is not approved for NCAA credit. PREREQUISITE: Student must have the following:
● Composite score of Basic or Below Basic on Keystone Literature exam.
        Algebra II 311 10-12 2 1
Algebra II develops an understanding of the ideas of linear equations, quadratic equations, rational numbers, irrational numbers, imaginary numbers, functions, and operations with real exponents. Students will use graphing calculators to enhance the understanding of algebraic concepts.
PREREQUISITE: Student must have the following:
● A final grade of C or better in Geometry.

       Honors Precalculus/Trigonometry 314 10-12 2 1
This course explores polynomials, trigonometry, logarithms, and exponentials and their functional characteristics. Students will develop both algebraic and graphic support for their answers. Graphing calculators will be used in class daily and for homework assignments. Students will need to purchase their own TI-83, TI-84, or equivalent. PREREQUISITE: Student must have the following:
● A final grade of B or better in Advanced Algebra II.
● Composite score of Proficient or Advanced on the Algebra I Keystone.
       College Algebra 321 11-12 2 1
Students will build an understanding of algebra through real world problems with data and technology. Skill building and concept understanding are layered and integrated throughout the course. Students will shift from learning discrete mechanical rules to exploring how algebra is used in the social and physical sciences. Concepts covered will include linear functions, exponential functions, logarithmic functions, rational functions, radical functions, quadratic functions, and polynomial functions.
PREREQUISITE: Student must have the following: ● Teacher recommendation.
