Students will meet two times in a 6-day cycle. Periodic physical fitness testing is to be expected. Classes strive to enhance physical growth, development and movement and, being an integral part of the educational process, are closely allied with academic progress. Students will be provided the opportunity to select from the following classes (based on teacher availability): Team Sports (may include but not limited to: Basketball, Soccer, Hockey, Volleyball, Softball, Ultimate Football, Ultimate Frisbee), Lifetime Activities (may include but not limited to: Tennis, Badminton, Golf, Archery, Orienteering, Frisbee, Pickleball), Personal Fitness (may include but not limited to: Yoga, Dance, Aerobics, Weight Lifting, Circuit Training, Cross Training, Speed, Agility, Plyometrics), and Aquatics (may include but not limited to: Competitive strokes, Leisure strokes, Water Safety, Water Fitness, Water games).

Health is a year-long class that meets 2 times in each 6-day cycle. Units covered include Wellness Study, Mental Health, Nutrition, Substance Abuse, Chronic Disabling Diseases, Human Growth and Development and STD’s (including AIDS). A project is required in lieu of a midterm exam, and a comprehensive final exam is administered.

This class will be composed of students in 10 - 12 grades. Some of the students in this class will have various needs
that restrict their ability to participate in a typical Physical Education class. As a result of these needs, these students would benefit from a partner approach to PE class. This course would benefit students who want a career in education and/or social work. All students in this class will work together to fulfill the expectations and requirements of a PE class. Students will meet six times in a 6-day cycle.
RECOMMENDATION: Student must have all of the following: ● B or better in Physical Education the previous year.
