A New Chapter for the WAD - Excited to Serve as 3rd Vice President
Dear WAD Members,
It is with great pride and excitement that I write to you as the newly appointed
3rd Vice President of the World Association of Detectives. Having been part of
the WAD family for the past eight years, I am truly honoured to take on this
important role at such a momentous time in our association’s history. As
we approach the centenary of the WAD in 2025, it’s hard to overstate how
meaningful this is—not just for me personally, but for all of us who have
dedicated ourselves to the investigative profession and to the values that
the WAD represents.
A little about myself: I’ve been in the private investigation industry for 35
years, a business I started myself, with the majority of my early work focused
in the UK. Over recent years, I’ve had the privilege of working with an
incredible network of professionals, and it’s through the WAD that I’ve been
fortunate enough to now forge strong and lasting friendships with across
the globe. The connections I’ve made through the Association have been
invaluable, and I’m excited to be in a position to give back to this community
that has meant so much to me.
I must take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mike La
Corte, Jon Fawcett, and my colleagues at Conflict International for their
unwavering support and belief in me. Their encouragement has played a
pivotal role in helping me reach this incredible milestone in my career, and I
am grateful for their continued guidance.
I’m also thrilled to be serving alongside our new President, Wes Bearden—a
talented and dynamic young lawyer, some say with a bright future ahead
of him! Together with my fellow VPs we will, under the stewardship of the
legendary Bob Heales, work to ensure the continued growth and success of
the WAD and its mission.
As we celebrate the WAD’s 100th anniversary, I am particularly excited
about the upcoming conference in Chicago, where the Association forged
“The world is changed its roots in 1925. This historic event promises to be a truly special gathering,
and I am eager to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones. I also look
by your example,
forward to seeing many of you in Lisbon before that, where we will have
not by your an opportunity to share ideas, experiences, and strengthen the bonds that
make this association so unique.
opinion.”
2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for the WAD, and I am so proud
to be part of this next chapter.
