                                                         RD

                                                       Dear Colleagues and Friends,

With just a few weeks to go, anticipation is reaching fever pitch for what
promises to be the most memorable event in our history — the 100th WAD
Centenary Conference in Chicago this September.

The scale, ambition, and sheer energy behind this milestone gathering is a
credit to the outstanding leadership of our President, Wes Bearden, and the
dedicated team supporting him. Their hard work is creating an event worthy
of the WAD legacy — and of its bright future.

The program this year is shaping up to be as diverse as it is dynamic,
reflecting the broad and ever-evolving scope of our profession. From
traditional investigative practices, and business development tips to the
latest in digital forensics, the sessions promise to educate, challenge, and
inspire. Personally, I’m especially looking forward to the presentations on
Artificial Intelligence — a subject that continues to fascinate and impact
                                                       every corner of our industry.

It’s often said that “every day is a school day,” and nowhere is that more true
than at a WAD conference. This one is unmissable.

As I write, our membership is tantalisingly close to the magic number of
1,000. Wouldn’t it be something if we reached that landmark in time for the
centenary? With your continued support and outreach, I believe we can.

Above all, I’m looking forward to the chance to reconnect — with old friends,
new colleagues, and the many professionals who make our association the
global family it is. I have a feeling Chicago is going to be “Our kind of town.”
Finally some good news. I am assured that that prohibition in Chicago has
now ended – another example of the WAD influence if ever you needed it!

                                                       See you there.

                                                       Warm regards
