VICE PRESIDENT
One highlight in 2022 was the merger of
two German societies in Mainz*. The on-
site meeting in early November provided
time for personal exchange and it showed
the benefits and advantages of WAD.
Congratulations to our German neighbors on
the historic and successful result after difficult
and time-consuming negotiations. My wife
and I enjoyed the event in good company of
old and new friends and colleagues.
Over New Year a great follow up with most
of the board from BUDEG took place in
Mallorca, Spain.
I look forward to seeing one another in spring
at the WAD Mid-term meeting in Prague and/
or even at the upcoming AGM in Vancouver,
Canada.
It has been my pleasure to support our
Association and I look forward to realizing
one or the other new project in the near
future.
Any review of the past year is marked by crises such as the ongoing Ukraine
war, a recent terrible earthquake in Turkey and Syria, severe ups and downs on the
investment markets, rising interest rates in the real estate sector, and even inflation Respectfully submitted,
not seen for long time. While slowly recovering from the covid pandemic, our
association had to be steered through these times as safely as possible.
I want to thank all the WAD leaders who mastered this, who showed presence or
responded quickly, also if I needed advice in my new role as a 3rd VP. It’s great to
collaborate with you all.
I attempted to represent WAD at various events and functions and took part in Philip Ryffel
internal processes. In my role as WAD Area Governor Europe, I have been in contact
with all Ambassadors who did a wonderful job. 3rd Vice President
