In conclusion, to grant more ownership for the locals we need to take into consideration
whether the planned form of aid is prioritized in the developing country's own agenda, and
the way it is designed and implemented. In reality, however, ownership requires societal
consensus, which poses as an obstacle as the form of governance in third world
countries are, unfortunately, rarely democratic."
