                                                                        Our land, Our People, Our culture !

            reinforced by the difference - and possibly rejection of - the m'zuŋ u and their lack of
            'spirituality', their lack of respect for the living world around them.

                 It's not unusual for modern day Africans to combine their practice of Christianity or

            Islam with their traditional beliefs. It's worth all m'zuŋ u taking time to reflect on the nature
            of traditional African religion. It can provide a helpful stepping stone towards a proper

            appreciation of the concept of African Solutions to African Problems.

                 Pre-m'zuŋ u African society, pre-m'zuŋ u African slavery and traditional African
            religion are based around concepts that, if not opposed to, are at least fundamentally not

            in tune with m'zuŋ u concepts. It's too simplistic to say that African ways are merely those

                                                                ̩
            of a primitive people. An increasing number of m'zuŋ u already question the values that
                             ɡ
                         ̩
            typify the m'zuŋ u.

                               ̩
                  The same m'zuŋ u capitalism that turned kinship slavery into chattel slavery
            commodifies everything around it so that value means price and little more.

            m'zuŋ u society was not superior. Perhaps technologically superior. But in some aspects,
            African society can reasonably claim to have been more sophisticated.
