Matt Sternberg, Accelerant
Matt Sternberg is the Chief Operating Officer of Accelerant, where he supports all
aspects of the Risk Exchange business, including Insurer Distribution, Operations,
Product & Technology, Actuarial & Data Science, and Customer Experience. Prior to
joining Accelerant, Matt was a Managing Director & Partner at Boston Consulting
Group, where he co-led the firm’s North American insurance practice. Prior to Boston
Consulting Group, Matt started his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs.

Robert Hooley, Accelerant
Robert Hooley is the Head of Machine Learning at Accelerant, where he leads the
design and creation of AI and ML driven solutions for the Accelerant Risk Exchange.
Robert previously led predictive modeling at Allianz Commercial where he leveraged
data science to solve actuarial problems. Since 2010, Robert has created innovative
processes to improve operational results in underwriting, claims, actuarial, finance,
and distribution.

Mark Aussicker, Fleming Reinsurance
Mark Aussicker serves as Chief Claim Officer at Fleming Reinsurance, Ltd. In this
role, he is responsible for all aspects of claims administration and oversight. His key
focus is to challenge status quo thinking and to deploy technology-enhanced tools to
empower claim and underwriting partners to optimize performance, quality, and
outcomes across our portfolio.
Prior to his current role, Mark held other senior executive positions at York Risk
Services Group, Norman-Spencer, and Thorn Valley Safety. Mark has 35 years of claim
and risk management experience working with insurance carriers, managing general
agents and third-party administrators. He graduated with a business administration
degree from the State University of New York at Oswego.

Ben Bomhoff, Fleming Reinsurance
Ben Bomhoff serves as Chief Technology Officer for Fleming Insurance, and is
responsible for all aspects of technology, systems and infrastructure. Ben’s main
areas of focus are collaborating with Fleming business areas and building/assembling
a solid, scalable technical foundation to support the business. This will ultimately
give employees the tools and information they need to achieve and surpass goals by
enabling a data driven culture that leverages innovative technologies and techniques.

Prior to joining Fleming, Ben held senior executive positions at RiverStone Resources
and Security First Insurance. He began his career in insurance technology over 40
years ago, starting as a programmer for The Prudential Insurance Company, and
further honing his technical, system design, architecture and team management skills
at Crum & Forster Insurance and its spinoff operations.
